What is Net Zero and how do we get there

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Climate action, Sustainable ICT

Net zero means that any emissions are balanced by absorbing an equivalent amount from the atmosphere. Taking on the challenge of achieving net zero emissions requires deep cuts in emissions in sectors where decarbonisation is a complex challenge. That means to achieve the large-scale reductions needed to reach net zero by 2050, businesses need to move from steps which are immediately tangible to taking those steps which are complex.

Net zero requires much faster innovation and implementation of innovation than the often more than 40 year cycles usually delivered by markets. Watch this video to learn more about achieving and advancing net zero.
